Lower Merion hit-and-run leaves 13yo critical

Lower Merion Police looking for vehicle involved in a hit and run accident at Morris Rd and New Gulph Rd. Bryn Mawr
On Wednesday July 15, at approximately 12:13 PM, a crash involving a car and a bicyclist occurred on New Gulph Road just west of Morris Avenue in Bryn Mawr. The vehicle and the bicyclist were both traveling westbound at the time of the collision.
The bicyclist, a 13 year old boy from Bryn Mawr, was flown to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a head injury, and he arrived in critical condition. His identity is being withheld due to his age. The driver of the car left the scene of the crash without being identified.
The driver of the vehicle was described by witnesses as a white female in her thirties or forties. The vehicle was described as a light colored station wagon, possibly a gold or tan Volvo. It sustained damage to the passenger side of the front windshield. It was last seen traveling northbound on Morris Avenue from the area of the crash. The incident is currently being investigated by the Lower Merion Police Traffic Safety Unit.
