Mansion Baseball

Two years have passed since I spent the summer up in Strawberry Mansion, watching an upstart Little League program develop in one of the city's toughest areas. Ended up being a great, great story, as the league has expanded all over North Philly. It's a life-altering and, in some cases, life-saving initiative, one I'm proud to support.
Well, the Strawberry Mansion All-Stars are back in action. If you're looking for an uplifting way to kick off Memorial Day, head up to Mander Playground. At the least, you'll be able to say, "I can throw a baseball better than Hickey." From former Commish Rick Ford:

MAY 23, 2009 from 9am to 3pm

Come and join us as we celebrate our 3rd season!
There will be food, fun, hopefully some sun, and refreshments.
